We are a friendly, family run nursery with a team aged from 16 to 70s!
For all childcare roles, you must love children and the outdoors, as you will be outside a lot in our fantastic grounds.
1) We have an opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified member of staff. We would also consider someone unqualified who would love to work with children aged 3 months – 5 years old.
3 or 4 days per week
Working hours 7.45am to 6.15pm
ASAP start
Not term time only
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications
6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
Opportunities for progression if you wish to further your career in early years
All ages and experience welcome! The right person is as important as qualifications because the vast majority of our existing team are qualified. We are happy to take on unqualified staff as we like to have more staff over and above the legal requirement, as this enhances the care and education that we offer our children.
If you are not qualified and this is something you would like to do, we can help you gain your qualification while you are working with us – the qualification is often free of charge, and your salary would increase once you are qualified.
2) Self employed handyman/maintenance person
We are looking to find a self-employed handyman (or woman!) who is able to assist with general maintenance and repairs, and help with very minor plumbing and electrical issues to ensure that Acres is safe and well-maintained. You must have your own insurance.
One full day or 2 half days per week. We are flexible on which day(s) you come.
ASAP start
All year round – not term time only
Please get in touch if you are interested and let us know your hourly rate.
3) Apprenticeship Opportunities
We offer Level 2 (Early Years Practitioner) and Level 3 (Early Years Educator) apprenticeships.
For the Level 2 apprenticeship, no qualifications are necessary but ideally you will have experience working with and or caring for children aged 0 – 5.
You will work alongside our experienced staff, gaining job-specific skills and earning a wage too.
If you are fun, hardworking, a team player and you love children we want to hear from you!
Start dates available throughout the year. The role is all year round, not term time only.
You will work 7.45am – 6.15pm 4 days per week (or 7.45am – 4.45pm or 9.15am – 6.15pm if you are under 18, in accordance with employment law) with college on the 5th day term time only.
6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
Do get in touch with us to find out more.
