Previous childcare experience very desirable but not essential. Ideally you will be Level 3 qualified, but this is not essential.
We provide year round care and education for children aged 3 months – 5 years old, and you may be working with a variety of ages.

4) Qualified or Unqualified Early Years positions
Are you interested in making a difference to a child’s start in life? Working with children is unique and rewarding. You get to be part of their early education and to help shape their future.  You will be involved with all aspects of helping to care for and educate young children. The children at Acres of Fun are between 3 months – 5 years old.

If you are fun, hardworking, a team player and you love children, we want to hear from you. You must enjoy being outside, as we have amazing grounds and we are outdoors a lot of the time.

Ideally you will have a full and relevant qualification (NNEB/NVQ Level 3 etc) but this is not a necessity, as the right person is as important as qualifications. Most of our existing staff are qualified, so we are happy to take on unqualified staff, as we like to have extra staff over and above the legal requirement, as this enhances the care and education that we offer our children.

We do a four day ‘compressed’ working week, so you will work 38 hours over 4 days (7.45am – 6.15pm) and have a day off during the week.
Permanent, full time role
All year round (not term time only)
Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
Opportunities for progression if you wish to further your career in early years

5) Summer Work
We have opportunities available for temporary summer work, between now and September. Experience of working with children desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
You will be outside a lot in our fantastic grounds, working with the nursery children or with primary school age children in our Holiday Club. You will be helping to organise fun and educational activities, and you will supervise and engage with the children during their play.
We need a commitment of at least 4 weeks (preferably longer) for at least 4 days per week, working from 7.45am – 6.15pm, or 8am – 6pm.
If you love children and love being outdoors, we would really like to hear from you. Ideal for sixth form or university students, anyone thinking of getting into the education sector, or someone who loves children and wants to earn some extra money over the summer.
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. The role could possibly lead on to further permanent/temporary work at Acres if you wish. We also offer apprenticeships and early years qualifications if you wish to further your career in early years.

6) Apprenticeship Opportunities
We offer Level 2 (Early Years Practitioner) and Level 3 (Early Years Educator) apprenticeships.
For the Level 2 apprenticeship, no qualifications are necessary but ideally you will have experience working with and or caring for children aged 0 – 5.
You will work alongside our experienced staff, gaining job-specific skills and earning a wage too.
If you are fun, hardworking, a team player and you love children we want to hear from you!
Start dates available throughout the year. The role is all year round, not term time only.
You will work 7.45am – 6.15pm 4 days per week (or 7.45am – 4.45pm or 9.15am – 6.15pm if you are under 18, in accordance with employment law) with college on the 5th day term time only.
