Current Vacancies

1) Baby Room Leader
Our current Baby Room Leader is very sadly moving out of the area, so we are looking for an experienced, warm and confident professional who loves babies to lead our Baby Room and to provide exceptional care and education for our youngest children.

You will play an integral role in helping families to settle in at Acres. This role is for someone who understands that when a baby starts nursery, it is a big milestone for families. You will build trusting relationships with parents/carers and create a calm, nurturing environment where babies can thrive.

You must be kind, friendly, welcoming and have excellent communication skills. You will lead your team by example, maintain the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding, and ensure that every child receives the individual attention that they deserve.

If you are passionate about early years, have strong leadership skills and love making a real difference to families, we would love to hear from you.

  • Permanent position ideally starting by September at the latest
  • Full time position. We do a four day ‘compressed’ working week – you will work 38 hours over 4 days (7.45am – 6.15pm) and have a day off during the week. We could also consider 5 shorter days, but you must work 40 hours per week and be able to do a combination of 7.45am starts and 6.15pm finishes so that you get to know the nursery parents at drop off and pick up.
  • Not term time only
  • 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays
  • Salary dependent on experience and qualifications, which is why there is no figure published but we are proud to pay well for the sector.

Ideally you will have a full and relevant qualification (NNEB/NVQ Level 3 etc) but this is not a necessity, as the right person is as important as qualifications. Most of our existing staff are qualified, so we are happy to take on unqualified staff, as we like to have extra staff over and above the legal requirement, as this enhances the care and education that we offer our children.
